Successful Network Marketers

Successful Network Marketers – What Do They Know?

successful network marketersChances are you, you have heard of some successful network marketers and you may be wondering what separates them from the rest of us. You’re not alone. Believe it or not, the things that separate the folks who make it big and those who do not are really pretty simple.

Let’s take a look at some of the experiences successful network marketers actually have:

They recognize that they are business owners and they act like it. Over the years, I’ve been very fortunate to sit with some top level income earners. These leaders are earning anywhere from 5 to 7 figures on a monthly basis. They see themselves and present themselves as business owners, consultants, coaches, and they are clear about their message. They are constantly focused on helping people solve a problem through the products, services, and opportunity offered by their company.

They are constantly learning how to become better at their profession. They read. They listen to audio books. They attend trainings. They listen to other successful network marketers. They never miss an opportunity to learn how to become more effective.

They experience what it feels like when people quit their business. Yes. The top income earners around the world know exactly what it is like to have someone sign up, get excited, and then never take action, not attend training, and quit the business. They don’t spend much time worrying about it. While someone is sitting at home whining, quitting, and making excuses, successful network marketers are advertising, prospecting, promoting, and training.

They lead by example. The truly successful network marketers are actually DOING the things they teach their team and can show the results.

They utilize the internet to be more efficient. From lead generation, to follow up, to training and communication, smart network marketing leaders are using the internet to more efficiently communicate with their team, provide resources, and keep everyone updated.

The other side of this coin is, of course, what the folks do who are not experiencing success.

They treat their business more like a hobby than a business. They are not taking advantage of the many available tax deductions that come from running a home based business.  In many cases, the tax deductions alone are good enough reason to start a real home based business.

They don’t train. There is always an excuse, a delay, an issue of some sort that keeps them from attending training, whether live, online, recorded, or in person. They never really learn how the business works or how to make the most of it.

When they have someone quit, they focus  on the quitter. They ask questions like, “Why did they quit?” or “What’s wrong with them?” or “How can I get them back?”. Instead of focusing and moving forward, they are constantly looking backwards.

They think the Internet is used “instead of” work. I see people on a daily basis who sign up for the latest and greatest “shiny object” and either never really learn to use it or they believe that these powerful lead generation and follow up systems are there so they don’t actually have to work.

Used properly, the internet helps you better find and qualify your best prospects so that your personal time is spent on more valuable activities like talking to people that WANT to know more and HELPING them become better at the business.

The work still has to get done. Technology can make you better at it but will not replace your actual work.

Hopefully, this gives you a better understanding of how some of these folks become successful network marketers. They get started, and they continue learning and growing. They lead by example. They don’t let setbacks get them down. We never really hear about them until they are successful so we think that it is some sort of overnight success story. But most “overnight success stories” were actually in process over many years while nobody else was watching.
