Home Based Business Guarantees

As I was talking with a prospect about starting a home based business, they asked me, “What sort of guarantee do I have that this will work for me?”.

I said, “Well, let’s look at it this way. If I were to present you with an opportunity that would cost you anywhere from $20,000 on the low side to as much as $150,000 or more on the high side, would require an intensive training schedule for the next 4 years during which time you would be making very little money (if any at all) … then, at the end of your 4 years of training, you could begin applying for various opportunities with no guarantee of being able to actually make any money, what would you say to that opportunity?”.

The prospect looked at me and said, “That just sounds stupid.”.

I just looked at him for a while. After a few seconds, he caught on that I was describing how a college education works for most people.

With a home based business, you can spend a very small amount of money, train after or before your regular job, learn from people who have experienced success in their home based business, and build your business while still doing other things, including making money at your job if you have one.

The only real guarantee anyone has in any home based business is the guarantee that if they don’t get started, they will not succeed. If they don’t learn the skills to create success, they will not succeed.

Most jobs don’t even guarantee they will last. Most jobs have virtually zero chance of helping you become financially free. But folks scramble to get those jobs all the time.

For my money, my time, and my future, I prefer to be involved with something that gives me the real opportunity to create success rather than spending my time with something that is virtually guaranteed to keep me broke.
