To each of our incredible members, I just wanted to take a moment to give you some updates.
As many of you undoubtedly know, my wife of 26 years passed last November. She lost a 2 year battle with cancer.
It is not my intention to reach out for sympathy but to simply inform you of events that have had an impact on my personal and professional life.
The loss of my wife is still felt on a deep and profound level. I am, however, happy to report that thanks to the support of some incredible family and friends, I am starting to put some of the pieces of my life back together which brings me to this update for you.
Part of my renewed vision is to begin building www.TheOnlineAdNetwork.com to a completely new level for you, our advertisers. My first goal is to see TOAN become a powerful advertising resource by continuing to increase market reach and penetration on a global level.
In english, that simply means more eyeballs to view your ads. This is being done through a concerted effort that includes more content, better content management, and increased SEO optimization for our blog at http://www.theonlineadnetwork.com/blog/
During what has arguably been the most trying season of my personal and professional life, we have continued to deliver content, display advertising, and pay our affiliates on a daily basis.
While I am not at liberty to go in to detail, I am working on some plans to make this simple yet effective advertising resource even more profitable for our affiliates who are interested in taking their TOAN income to the next level and beyond.
In short … it has been a very tough season for my family and I. But my vision and passion for what we do here at TOAN is being renewed, refreshed, and reawakened.
I invite your comments, feedback, and questions as we move forward. Tell me what you’re loving, what you wish was different, etc.. I look forward to serving each of you and our new members as we launch in to a new global expansion for the benefit of all our members.

I know it’s been a tough go and I admire your professionalism and attention to your members during these trying times. It’s a testament to your leadership. I, for one, am excited to hear all about what you have planned.
Welcome back 😉
Thank you, very much, Janet. I have always enjoyed and appreciated your professionalism, as well. Here’s to our future. While we are here, let’s make the most of it, together!
I am very sorry for your lose. My sister died at a very young age and I know the battle you and your wife went through. heaven has her now. Definitely a much better place. My prayers go out to you. You will prosper..
I am sorry for your loss, as well, Lisa.
Brian, So sorry to here that. I did not know that you lost your better half. I will pray for you and your family every day my friend and for the future of TOAN. You have done an amazing job with it so far under the circumstances. We will always stay and support toan because the future vision is much bigger than what it is right now.
I have only one thought on the site. If possible, probably a new overall to bring the site inline with the likes of Craigslist and usfreeads. Just a thought.
I know you will do everything in your power to make this great business a success.
I wish great things for you and your family.
Blessing
Ken
Hi, Ken.
Thank you for your kind words. Are you saying you are more interested in a site that offers advertising for a broader variety of content rather than focusing solely on home based business and business opportunity categories?
I still like it to be for the Home business market as going broader would be too much, but the site itself could have the same look and feel. I feel a lot of members are leaving (apart from the fact that they can’t see the bigger picture) because the site is not giving them the look and feel of and advertising platform to promote. I just feel it need something else to attract more new members.
I’m pushing hard in quite a few places but don’t seem to get the same attraction like when we first started. This is why I feel we might need a new overall.
Blessing
Ken
Working on some new layouts, as we speak. The blog is already changing. Will be working on presentation pages, soon.
Sorry for the late reply Brian, sleep caught up with me lol. Great to here. TOAN is a great business and we’ll try our very best to help others to see it. You are doing a great job Brian. Not a lot of people would’ve been able to carry on after such lost, but you did and I take my hat off to you. Thank you.
Ken
Hey Brian,
I was unaware of your situation so even though I’m a bit late my condolences on your loss. I have lost a few family members to the dreaded C monster and have since found about a half dozen cures for it. I know, not supposed to use the word cure; but if followed any one of the alternative practices can eliminate the tumors we call cancer. I started my research about 24 years ago including going back to school and becoming an LMT in the process. Anyway, it was too late for my mother once I discovered some simple and inexpensive cures but it has helped numerous people since then. If there is anyone else in your life you wish to help do not hesitate to contact me for information that can help. I gladly give it all away for free to anyone who wants the knowledge.
As for the re-birth of TOAN; I really like what you have put together so far and look forward to what is to come. My main suggestion would be to put together a pre-made VSL squeeze/capture page that can be easily integrated with Aweber for the non-techie networkers of which there are many more than those with tech knowledge. I know you included instructions to put one together yourself; but I know hundreds of people who just won’t take the time to learn and put one together themselves. With one made for them they would then have a more viable way to promote and build TOAN which would help all of us to build a bigger and better team.
TOAN is such a simple and useful idea and I have seen so many companies come and go while TOAN carries on, I really want to see it get easier for the busy, 9 to 5 networking parent to build.
Along with a VSL Capture page I’d also suggest getting a few dozen (or more) email follow ups written up and added to your Aweber account so that new people can copy the “campaign sharing” code and then only need to edit their own contact info in the follow up series.
Beyond that a few dozen pre-made banners and text ads to build TOAN and a list of advertising networks and or media contacts for real marketing and who could ask for anything more. I think that would solidify TOAN as one of the best opportunities on the net today.
As for functionality of the current system if ads could be auto renewed for up to 6 months as opposed to 30 days that might help too.
Let me know if I can add anything more to the conversation.
Sincerely,
Bruce Nelkin LMT

Hi, Bruce.
As the owner of TrafficWave.net, I don’t have an Aweber account but I am curious as to why you don’t simply integrate the letters that are already provided in your back office into your TOAN account.
Or am I missing a finer point in there, somewhere?
Hey Brian,
If there is a squeeze page all set up and ready to go by simply activating it somewhere I must have missed that in the training.
I wouldn’t mind if TrafficWave was an integrated option to add onto TOAN to make the squeeze page, follow up campaign plug and play ready.
That information is available in the back office.
First of all to Brian who I don’t know personally yet, I’m praying for you & your family. I lost my Mom 2 weeks past Mother’s Day back in ’89 which is Race Day here in Indy to breast cancer. I also lost my older brother James to brain cancer
& buried him the day before his 23 birthday. This is part of my testimony because I vividly remember the devil on my left shoulder saying “I got your Mother, your brother & now I got your black ..s to. The then commanded “Get behind Me Satan!!!!” “Patrick this (throat cancer) is not unto death. Don’t worry!!!” This happened on Jan. 2 in a small exam room at the VA HOSPITAL here in Indy. On Apr 16 I was 6 years out!!!!!!
I to Brian believe that the cancer industry is almost criminal. I didn’t have a choice in my treatment at the time. I was extremely healthy so I decided to drop my J.O.B. healthcare coverage because my wife had her own and I was covered by the VA. I was getting real serious about an online biz that has proven 6 years later to be a good choice. In fact just rejoined. But that devil never checks your bank acct. before he hits you. As soon I went part-time…BAMM!!
Once you start investigating chemo (POISON) and radiation therapy, you will be
begging for other treatments. BUT YOUR DOC HAS NO CHOICE IN THE
PROTOCOLS USED TO TREAT YOUR CONDITION. You can seek other therapies, but the good is strangled by the FDA, his hospital and the out of
Control Big Pharma one of the biggest one’s in DT Indy. We used to say Indy was controlled by Eli and to a lesser extent it still!!
It unfortunately is to late for our loved ones, but REOICE for they are with the
LORD!!! Whenever I get a chance I use that quick testimony above & maybe
I can touch somebody before it’s TOO LATE!!!
I was reading an article and check this out. It costs $50,000 plus for the
cheapest cancer treatment where the outcome is not “VERY GOOD” like mine.
At the best alternative treatment centers, the better ones are located in and
around San Diego, “cures” oh I can’t say that can I, the treatments are around
$20,000 in spa like centers. As Arsenio Hall says “Things that make you go
HHHHMMMMMMMM”!!!!!!!!
Once again God’s Magnificent Blessings be upon you. Now I know why I am
with TrafficWave. Keep on keepin’ on!!!
Patrick S.
Brian, I cannot put into words my sorrow that I feel for the loss of your beloved. I cannot imagine and I almost lost mine about eight months ago to Lyme disease. I cried and prayed over her and she slowly healed and now I have it. I lost my Dad at age sixty to cancer and I was only 31 and took me years to get over it and still find myself talking to him as if he were here. I will be praying for you and wish you well. It takes time, all I will say. I cant thank you enough for TOAN and Trafficwave, both are making me learn things I need to learn. I like TOAN the way it is but will go with the flow as you update and make changes. I personally have no ideas as I am dealing with all my personal stuff as well as trying to get internet businesses off the ground. Just want you to know you are greatly appreciated by this member of your awesome programs and if there is anything I can do besides now pray for you, please feel free to ask and I will do whatever is in my power to help you as you have done more than you know for me. I read all that you put out and just from your words and instructions I have learned more from you than I have anyone. You are a fine teacher and know how to explain things very well in writing alone. You are a good man and I am certain that whatever it is you do, you can be sure that I along with many others will stand behind you and support you.
Your Brother in Christ,
Charles Sanford
Hi Brian,
Sorry for your loss. Did not know.
TOAN is a good advertising platform. Just wish others could see the potential but not sure how to make that happen. I’ve hit a brick wall on all of my ad efforts for the past couple of months so I’m trying to do my own re-vamp to figure out what gives.
Brian,
Just recently lost my wife of 61 years to breast cancer. I feel your pain, I know the struggles you are going through.
Be assured that I am with you for the long term, personally and professionally. I love the way that TOAN is working for me and I look forward with you to the “extras” you have in mind.
Warm personal regards,
John Worsham
Brian, it is good to know that you have supportive friends and family to help you through tough times. Well, pray for you. Dorothy
Thanks for the note Brian. I am glad to hear you and your family are healing and beginning to live again. Time does help, though I’ve hated the sound of that phrase myself.
I love the Toan program. I have thought lately that a ‘face-lift’ might be good. Also I just started using the Capture Page and I like it very much. Some new banners, splash pages.
Toan is a well kept secret as far as I am concerned. So many join and then don’t take the time to learn it and really USE it. The features are many, and I believe only a fraction of the people who get started look into it. Also, people put 10 or even the huge sum of 20 ads in and expect miracles to happen. Education about the Numbers of ads that need to circulate in order to gain X number of downline, etc. That’s it. They think that just join it and money will magically appear. Then quit because it doesn’t ‘work’.
It’s an advertising program with potential financial benefit IF you develop that side of the program. You can also just use it to advertise.
Happy Easter. He lives, and so will we and so do our loved ones! More alive than ever. 🙂
Laura
As you know I have been with you for some time now Brian and have always felt that TOAN has represented good value for money. I am delighted to hear of the proposed improvements that I have no doubt will lead to bigger and better results for us all as time goes on.
Brian,
I am so sorry to hear about you losing your wife. My prayers go out to you.
I have always loved TOAN and the simplicity of it. I agree with Laura about the site needing a facelift. The advertising is super for the home based businesses but I think branching out to other types of businesses could be a home run as well.
Whatever you decide, Please KEEP IT SIMPLE! ; )

BRIAN, SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. MAY YOU AND YOUR FAMILY BE COMFORTED DURING THIS TIME.
Hi Brian,
Having lost my own partner to cancer a little over a year ago, my heart goes out to you, and I can only admire the way you have kept TOAN running through such circumstances.
I welcome the plans for a facelift – because this is such a great business and brilliant compensation plan I can’t see why everyone isn’t in it. Perhaps over-familiarity with the “look”?
My couple of “wishes” are (1) That expired ads didn’t get deleted as quickly. This is difficult for me when I go away for more than a very short period of time and have no Internet access (my hols are usually cruises and Internet costs on UK cruise ships are scary!). (2) I sometimes struggle to know which category to put my ads into.
Looking forward to seeing what you have planned. Joy
I wanted to let everyone know about the new look and feel we are introducing here at www.TheOnlineAdNetwork.com.
More than just a different look, our new layout is focused on providing valuable streamlined content for visitors who find us as they search for information about starting a home based business and/or building an existing home based business.
As you view the new main page at http://www.theonlineadnetwork.com, you will see the new layout for our main page.
The login section is now at the top of the page along with a link to our blog and the “Advertise With Us” link that funnels all clicks through the advertising co-ops we run each month.
Of course, we are still delivering banner ads along the top and right side of the page.
The left side of the page includes a directory listing for the various ad categories we have available.
The biggest change is our direct links to various articles in the main page body. These links will take visitors directly to various articles in our blog.
As an example of the new ad layout pages (still in progress), click “Banner Advertising” on the left of the screen under “Business Tools”. You will be taken to the ad page that specifically lists banner advertising classifieds AND includes an article overview and link about Banner Advertising. As visitors click through to the article, they will see the full article content along with more content related text ads along with your banner ads.
You will see more and more of these articles and related links appearing at the top of each directory page.
This approach is going to allow us to do more content related targeting, search engine optimization, and generic promotion which will bring more visitors to your ads!
We are already seeing an increase in click-throughs to articles from various promotions we are running. This means more ad exposures for you!
In addition, the blog will continue to be updated with articles and discussion invitations.
This is where you come in and can win even more! Commenting on these articles helps everyone by increasing blog relevance which helps our search engine reach, market penetration, etc…
As you comment on the discussion, you also help yourself by increasing your own branding. Feel free to contribute relevant content, feedback, etc… and include a single link to the URL of your choice as part of your comment/feedback.
A couple of guidelines to keep in mind:
1) Make sure your comment/feedback is RELEVANT to the topic. Don’t just type “me too” or “agree”. Whether you agree or disagree, tell us why and share your own experiences where applicable.
2) Keep it clean and professional. You may disagree with something in the article and/or with a comment. That’s ok. Tell us why you disagree. Make your own counterpoint without making it personal or insulting.
3) Post ONE link only at the end of your comment. Comments that are loaded with links and appear to be nothing more than an ad will be deleted.
Let’s all start by getting involved in the following article by posting comments, feedback, etc:
http://www.theonlineadnetwork.com/blog/2010/08/07/mlm-leads-cold-market-or-warm-market-prospecting/
I look forward to continuing this path with you and I look forward to your feedback!

I’m glad you are getting back to it, Brian. It’s good to have a project at times like this, it keeps you moving forward.
It’s good to see the new look at TOAN and I’m sure we’ll have no problem bringing in more people to build and benefit from this system.
p.s. I lost my son to suicide in 2007 and it’s been a long hard road back through the land of sack-cloth and ashes like Job in the old story. So when I see you working your business, and playing music… though I’m sure it’s not the same as it was, it will be your lifeline for a while I think.
I am sorry to hear about your son. Business and music have both provided an outlet for me and a place to put my thoughts, for sure. I will never stop missing my beautiful bride of 26 years but I will ALWAYS be grateful of the time we had together. We committed many years ago to make the most of each day we had. We had our ups and downs as any couple will but, at our core, we always agreed to pursue life together … with authenticity.
Her life ended much sooner than any of us would have hoped but I have the joy of knowing it was a life well lived.
that’s the most that anyone can do
The lost of a loved or appreciated one is left with an emptiness. I lost my father three years ago and still miss him. Have lost friends, neighbors and pets having similar feelings. One has to learn to live without them. Lost my wife to a divorce, that could be similar to a death, psychologically. Concentrating on serving others, like you do with TrafficWave and TOAN, and caring for the ones still alive, can be part of your emotional and spiritual healing process.
I have been working on promoting TOAN, TW, and other biz opps. I consider that yes, TOAN, could benefit from improvements.
I promote Carol Walczak’s free report on TW, and I have written a very detaild TW setup free report.
[link removed by admin]
I still need to learn a lot to effectively promote these.
Your friend,
Luis Antonios
Hi Brian,
I am new to TOAN, and I just read about your loss, I truly am sorry. The level of compassion you show to others is heart warming. I battled cancer in the year 2000, and the chemo almost killed me. I never knew how to live until I came close to dying. enough about me, you have a group of caring people around you, and that’s what you need for support and encouragement. Take one day at a time, and little by little you manage to feel better. Brian, I am thankful you’re here to give someone like me a helping hand. Thank you.
Thank you, Lucille. I’m happy for your victory over the dreaded C.
I am very sad to hear of your loss which I wasn’t aware of. I lost two sisters and a niece to cancer in the past five years, the latest just a year ago so I understand the pain you have gone through. My prayers are with you and your family. Thank you for all you do for your members.
