Got a Job? You Are In A Pyramid!

BrianRooney“This looks like one of those pyramid deals”, the prospect said.

“How do you mean?” I asked.

He looked at me and said, “One of those deals where the guy making the money is the guy on top and everybody else is putting in all the work.”

“No.” I said. “That would be your job.

He looked at me for a minute, and then as the realization hit him, he got a really sick look on his face.

It’s time we get past this stock response, folks. Your job operates like a pyramid. Your bank operates like a  pyramid. Your church operates like a pyramid. If you are an employee, your efforts go toward supporting the income of the person above you in the organizational chart. They all look like pyramids.

The difference between those traditional organizational structures and the structure used in network marketing is that when you are involved in a network marketing company, you can actually make more money than the person above you in the organizational chart.

Your income is based on two primary keys:

  1. How effective YOU are at selling your products or services.
  2. How effective you are at building a TEAM that does the same.

The better you are at these two things, the more income you can realistically expect to earn from your network marketing business.

No matter what sort of organizational chart you look at, you are going to see something that resembles a pyramid in shape.

So since we’re all going to be in some sort of pyramid anyway, make sure you are in the kind that can actually help you get free instead of just making someone else wealthy from your efforts.

  1. I totally agree! I wrote a similar post on my own blog – based on the fact that I used to be a call -center agent. Great post, and thank you. I’d love to share your post on my blog if that’s okay 🙂
