Easy Money If you got involved in network marketing expecting to not work, get out now. It takes work to build any business, including a network marketing business. It’s definitely a simple model. You can probably learn most of the skills while you are building. But you are going to have to work if you want to experience success.

The success stories do happen. It can happen for you. Just learn some basic principles and be prepared to work. Most of us go through life hoping to work a 9 to 5 job for 2o, 30, 40 years or more. The whole time we’re doing it, we know the chances of us retiring wealthy are slim to none. So prepare yourself to put some work in to your network marketing business for a few years if you really plan to retire comfortably.

Choose Wisely

Is the company new or established? Newer companies have more risk. Established companies are still no guarantee. It will depend entirely on your own risk tolerance and how flexible you can be when getting started. New companies will make frequent changes. Established companies will be less likely to make frequent changes once their systems are proven and in process.

Are the products or services something you use or would use even without an opportunity attached? If not, rethink your involvement. For any company to be successful, there must be a real market for the product or service being offered.

How do you get paid? More than the “plan”, really think through the numbers. Can the company afford to pay out as much as they claim?  Are they paying enough to make it worth your while to build a big business? Is there still opportunity for newer distributors to reach a level of financial freedom with the plan?

Management teams matter. Is the company run by a complete newbie with no background? If so, they may have a harder time getting things right. Everyone starts at the beginning so only you can decide if a new inexperienced owner is a good option for you. Check for any background information you can find. Are they connected with questionable business practices, lawsuits, or failures? That should be a red flag.

Systems. Does the company have systems in place to help with marketing? I don’t mean “will they do the marketing for you?” I mean “Can you plug in to an existing system, follow the system, and get results?” Is there sufficient training and support available. You are going to be learning some new things to build network marketing business success. Can the company and your upline help you get it done?

Once you’ve got those things decided, it’s time to focus on you. If you truly want to build network marketing business success, be prepared to lead by example. Are you doing the things that lead to more business? Are you generating leads, following up, closing deals, and training new team members? Are you teaching your team to do the same?

Are you willing to invest the time and effort to learn this new business? Are you willing to train your team to do the same?
